Yep, 3 long days of nationals are finally over... yupx....
start with the finals today. we were at 250 mark watching jone race. so when he got second, chen sin suddenly went into a "we're gonna lose" mindset. i tried to boost his morale up as he had a race later but he still remains that pessimistic.
i really didnt know our race was so rushed, 2 hours of rest and WE'RE UP!!! as always, warm up, test water, power gel, rock and roll.2D and 2m came down today, eee of all classes get these 2 exceptionally gay classes. WEll i did see kent, tank and c2 together, discussing, drink kopi.
Though it was high tide, the current was pushing us to the left. i closed my eyes just b4 the freaking race, conentrating... i was so scared that i was in front of the buoy when the kayu starter went PAWWWWWW. louis too, but i did manage to have a starting burst, unlike him. i was leading 2 boat lengths in front of niger and that's where i was so damn surprised. all that intimidating by that niger during trng... DIDNT WORK DUDE.
aiyah ahmad looks so big, but his start burst was so crappy. jit wei was very compeitive also, but he got 4th in the end. however in the end, all we got for cidv was a rotten 2nd. bdiv? even rotten 3rd.

ivan, kangjie: silver. k2 500. they were expected to kick ass...
jon&jon: dq. this was the most controversial boat lor. we started out a strong protest but it failed. everynoe blame the niger umpire!!!!! quite stupid larh he, 4got to collect fees for protest.
so we got 30 points, lost to sji by 9. I JUST CANT TAKE THIS LYING DOWN............ IT WAS SO CLOSE!!!!!
so after that, louis and i tried to revive out past partnership feelings, got into the advantage k2.the rudder was so hard to control as it was very narrow. well, advantage comes with stability. we didnt cap though, even managed to beat jon lee and jian rui in sprinting.
prize presentation was crappy, very few ppl turned up. my name was called and i promptly went up to receive the trophy. i must say i wasnt really hapyy, since the double chanps were now far from our reach...after which, we had a debrief. took group photos and had 2 oooshes.1st 1 was on me since i was the only gold winner. 2nd on jone since he's the CAPTAIN.
later some of us went to mac, where we had a major niaoing session on jon lee. jon lee had just responded too much on what louis said... we all had a good laugh in the end. oh yah, many wacky pictures taken, like jone's face stuck in between a bigntasty and a mCchicken.
i went with louis, kang jie and jon hu to watch i, robot. its like the special sr5 robot had super close physical interaction with the female lead, kang jie and jon hu started thinking dirty thoughts and engaged in frequent bursts of laughter. FOR GOODNESS SAKE WHERE'S THE THEATER ETIQUETTE IN U??? but i luffed with them tho, haha.
so i guess that rounds up my slacked day. tata.
